Audrey Roloff Speaks Out About Cruel Messages Received Amid Family Farm Sale Controversy

In a heartfelt Instagram post on August 5, Little People, Big World alum Audrey Roloff opened up about the backlash she and husband Jeremy received following their decision not to purchase Roloff Farms. "My July Content Didn't Tell You Everything" reads the caption of her post, where she revealed that they received some "cruel messages from people who have only a small understanding of our family's challenging situation." The 35-year-old reality star shared that they ultimately decided not to buy Roloff Farms when given the opportunity earlier this year. She explained, "We felt confident in our decision, but it was still a difficult one to make. I chose to share about it because I know many families faced with similar priorities and unforeseen circumstances." However, Audrey's sister-in-law Isabel Roloff took to TikTok to express her disappointment, saying that the couple had never discussed their decision with her or husband Jacob, who live on the farm. "It feels incredibly disappointing when they talk about saving the farm when we’re here working every day," she stated. "We don't have the money to save it, but we are here doing our best." Audrey has yet to respond publicly to Isabel's comments. Matt Roloff initially purchased the 109-acre Oregon farm with his then-wife Amy Roloff, who sold her shares during their divorce in 2016. Matt, 64, listed 16 acres for sale in 2022, citing that his eldest sons, Jeremy and Zach, were not interested in jointly taking over the operations. In a March Instagram post, Audrey shared her feelings of conflict when given the opportunity to buy Roloff Farms. "After having [our son] Bode's birthday in the barn last month, we had a 'what if' moment," she wrote. "We felt torn between our own dreams and the nostalgia that comes with such a significant family farm." Ultimately, they decided to walk away from the negotiation table. In these trying times, Audrey emphasized the importance of empathy and understanding in difficult situations. "Remember that every story has multiple sides," she concluded her post. "Let's aim for kindness and patience with each other."
