Keith Urban Feels a Weight Lifted as Nicole Kidman Moves On with Michael Reinstein: Report

In a surprising turn of events, country star Keith Urban appears to be far from "devastated" about Nicole Kidman's rumored new romance with private equity investor Michael Reinstein, according to a fresh report. Contrary to previous claims that the "Blue Ain't Your Color" singer was left reeling by photos of his ex-wife cozying up to Reinstein, a source close to Urban now reveals he feels "relieved" at Kidman's apparent move towards happiness. The insider disclosed that it was actually Urban who ended the nearly 20-year marriage with Kidman and has been grappling with guilt over the hurt inflicted on the Oscar winner, as reported by Daily Mail. However, seeing Kidman seemingly content with someone new is said to have alleviated a significant burden for the musician. The source claimed that Urban is "relieved that she’s moved on" and there's no trace of jealousy over Reinstein. Representatives for Urban did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment when reached out. This new narrative paints a stark contrast to an earlier report suggesting that Urban was left heartbroken after seeing photos of Kidman with the businessman. That source claimed the Grammy winner harbored secret hopes of reconciling with the "Big Little Lies" star, only to be crushed by her romantic connection with another man. Kidman sparked rumors of a budding romance with Reinstein following their sightings together in Portofino, Italy, and later when he picked her up from an airport in Los Angeles before they were seen driving away in his Ferrari. Neither Kidman nor Reinstein have publicly confirmed the relationship. Urban, meanwhile, has faced his fair share of romance rumors since separating from Kidman, including speculation involving country singer Karley Scott Collins and his guitarist Maggie Baugh. Both women vehemently denied any romantic involvement with him. Kidman filed for divorce from Urban in September 2025 after 19 years of marriage, citing irreconcilable differences. The former couple shares daughters Sunday Rose, 18, and Faith Margaret, 15.
