"By now most of you have heard my incredible friend @jeanakeough is battling cancer," Vicki wrote, encouraging her followers to lend their support and prayers. Jeana's daughter, Kara Keough, broke the news of her mother's diagnosis in July. The GoFundMe page revealed that Jeana was diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma of the tongue after experiencing a painful sore on her tongue for nearly a year. Following surgery to remove the cancer, doctors discovered that it had spread, transforming what was initially expected to be a one-time surgery into a full-fledged battle against cancer. Kara provided an update on her mother's treatment plan on August 6th, confirming that Jeana "finished her last radiation treatment" the day before. However, she also shared that the next two weeks would be particularly challenging as Chemotherapy and radiation take their toll on Jeana's body, leaving her physically weakest during this period. The radiation burns have now extended to the outer skin on her neck, causing even gentle touch with medicated cream to provoke painful wincing from Jeana. Despite these challenges, Kara reported that they had managed to stem her mother's weight loss and were taking it as a victory. However, they are still searching for an effective solution to combat the nausea and excruciating pain caused by the treatment. Vicki's support for Jeana underscores the strong bond between the two cast members who have been part of The Real Housewives of Orange County since its inception.
