Best recognized for his gripping portrayal as Police Chief Fletcher Daniels throughout the critically acclaimed series "Hill Street Blues," Cypher's presence graced television screens for decades. His distinguished career extended beyond this iconic role, with memorable performances on shows such as "Major Dad," "Dynasty," "Knots Landing," "As the World Turns," "Santa Barbara," "Law & Order," "JAG," and even "Walker, Texas Ranger." Cypher's career took flight in 1957, as he made his television debut playing Prince Christopher opposite the legendary Julie Andrews in Rodgers and Hammerstein's live CBS broadcast of "Cinderella." Later, he lent his talents to the 1987 movie adaptation of "Masters of the Universe," where he portrayed the iconic Man-At-Arms.
