Colorado Congresswoman Lauren Boebert's Eldest Son, Tyler, Faces Allegations of Child Sexual Exploitation

In a shocking turn of events, Colorado Representative Lauren Boebert's eldest son, Tyler Boebert, has been arrested on multiple felony charges for alleged child sexual exploitation. According to records obtained by Muckrakers Today, a warrant was issued for Tyler on August 6, and he was apprehended in Garfield County, Colorado, three days later. Tyler, 21, is suspected of committing five felonies related to an alleged incident in January 2024 when he was 18 years old. The charges include child sexual exploitation to induce or entice, sexual exploitation of a child, possession with intent, sexual exploitation of a child involving video, and two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. People magazine reported that Tyler's bond was set at $10,000 on August 7, following his arrest. However, he was released just two days later, with the warrant ultimately being canceled. His next court appearance is scheduled for Wednesday, August 19. In a statement to the Denver Post on Monday, August 10, Boebert expressed her support for her son amidst these serious allegations. "I love my son," she said. "We take these allegations very seriously and pray for everyone affected during this challenging time." Tyler's run-ins with the law are not new; he was arrested in February 2024 in connection to multiple vehicle trespasses and property thefts. He and several of his friends were accused of breaking into cars, stealing debit cards, gift cards, and cash. Initially facing 22 felony and misdemeanor charges, Tyler ultimately pleaded guilty to one count of attempted identity theft. Tyler is the eldest son of Lauren and her ex-husband, Jayson Boebert. The former couple, who were married from 2007 to 2023, also share sons Brody, Kaydon, and Roman. Lauren became a mother at the age of 18, and she has been open about her decision to drop out of school to focus on her son. In September 2020, she told The Durango Herald, "I was a brand-new mom, and I had to make hard decisions on successfully raising my child, or getting to high school biology class... I chose to take care of my child... I was starting my family and had different priorities." Tyler also became a parent at a young age.
