Custom Balenciaga Gown for Tallulah Willis' Sun Valley Wedding Honors Mom Demi Moore

In a stunning twist of family tribute and high-fashion, actress and artist Tallulah Willis, 32, walked down the aisle in a custom Balenciaga couture gown that paid homage to her mother, Demi Moore. The sculptural wedding dress, created by Pierpaolo Piccioli, was crafted in just weeks for Willis' Sun Valley, Idaho nuptials with musician Justin Acee on Saturday. The strapless silk satin column gown featured a voluminous draped skirt, a long train, and a structured bow at the back – with the curved neckline of the dress taking inspiration from Moore's black sheath by Balenciaga that she wore to this year's Vanity Fair Oscar party. Piccioli designed the bow so it would create an illusion of a "package being unwrapped," as Willis revealed during her final fitting at the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles, joined by Moore, sisters Rumer and Scout Willis, and Moore's longtime stylist Brad Goreski. Scout shared with British Vogue that Tallulah had once considered Etsy wedding dress options, before ultimately choosing Balenciaga couture for her big day. A floor-length veil, pear-shaped diamond drop earrings, and a chignon with soft pieces framing her face completed Willis' ethereal bridal look. Piccioli and his team invested a total of 712 hours into the gown, plus another nine on the veil alone. Each individually beaded organza petal took roughly 60 hours to hand-embroider and apply. Willis and Acee announced their engagement in December 2024 after approximately two years of dating. Her sisters served as bridesmaids in matching seafoam green strapless gowns at Saturday's ceremony. The designer's first couture show for the house in Paris last month was attended by Moore and Tallulah, who later sat down with Piccioli for four hours to discuss her vision for the gown. Goreski described the brief as "whimsical and ethereal." For Willis, the dress embodied a sense of self-acceptance she's worked hard to achieve – alluding to her eating disorder recovery and battles with online trolls. "My biggest hope [for the dress] was that it would be something magical, but magical in a way that was unexpected, kind of like me," said Willis.
