Dramatic Break-In at Kim Kardashian's LA Mansion; Staff Car Stolen, Suspect Arrested

Sunday saw a dramatic turn of events at the Los Angeles home of media mogul Kim Kardashian, with a 27-year-old suspect arrested for allegedly burglarizing the reality star's property and stealing a staff member's vehicle. The incident occurred just before 4 p.m., according to L.A. County Sheriff’s Deputy Tracy Koerner, who spoke to the L.A. Times. Witnesses reported seeing the suspect loading multiple items into a car at the residence in Hidden Hills. The culprit also took control of a car on the property and drove it around the neighborhood, as per reports from the New York Post and TMZ. A vigilant security guard spotted the burglary in progress and promptly notified the sheriff's office. Upon their arrival, deputies apprehended the suspect without incident. Kardashian, 45, has been residing elsewhere while her home undergoes renovation, TMZ revealed. The Kardashian-West family—which includes North, 13, Saint, 10, Chicago, 8, and Psalm, 7—has reportedly been staying in a nearby rental for the past few months. Fortunately, Kardashian was not present during the alleged break-in. Kim Kardashian and her ex-husband, Kanye West, purchased the estate in 2014 for $20 million, as reported by the Times. The sprawling 15,667 square-foot property boasts living and dining rooms, a home theater, a game room with a wet bar, a paneled library, a gym, eight fireplaces, eight bedrooms, and 10 bathrooms. Initial renovations were completed in 2017, at which point the former couple moved into the residence. Following her 2022 divorce from West, Kardashian and their kids continued to reside in the house. This latest incident marks a troubling twist in Kardashian's safety, revisiting chilling memories of a 2016 robbery during Paris Fashion Week, where she was held at gunpoint by suspects dressed as police officers and wearing masks. "He grabs my legs and pulls me. I’m naked and my everything is exposed," Kardashian testified in court regarding the harrowing incident. "I was sure that I was going to be raped." Multiple suspects were arrested in January 2017, with trials ensuing from April to May 2025, resulting in guilty verdicts for eight out of the ten suspects. The remaining two were acquitted. Kardashian expressed her gratitude towards French authorities for pursuing justice in the case and stated that the incident had left a lasting impact on her and her family. "While I’ll never forget what happened, I believe in the power of growth and accountability and pray for healing for all," she added. "I remain committed to advocating for justice, and promoting a fair legal system."
