Ariana Grande Steps Out with Boyfriend Ricky Alvarez Amid Tour and Post-Spotlight Break

In an unexpected move, pop sensation Ariana Grande has taken to Instagram to make her relationship with on-again boyfriend Ricky Alvarez official. The "Petals" songstress shared a series of loved-up photos with the dancer on Wednesday, including a heartwarming mirror selfie that saw his arm around her shoulder and a second snap showing them embracing in a sweet hug.
While Grande kept their faces hidden behind purple fairy wings and sunglasses respectively, she made no secret of Alvarez's presence by tagging him in the post. The Instagram dump also featured several selfies and photos of her dogs, with a simple caption, "🌱 ! ♡." Alvarez, 35, responded by resharing a photo of Grande sporting a "Petal" T-shirt via his Instagram Stories on the same day.
He also reposted the second hugging photo shared by Grande. News of the couple's rekindled romance surfaced last month, with sources confirming to Page Six that Grande and Alvarez, who dated from 2015 to 2016, had reunited following her split from Ethan Slater after three years together. However, an insider told us that Ariana isn't rushing back into the relationship.
"She has a lot on her plate at the moment and is still incredibly busy with her tour schedule," they explained, adding that Alvarez has made an effort to support Grande during her tour and that their bond has remained strong over the years due to his closeness with her family. Grande embarked on the "Eternal Sunshine" tour in June, and Alvarez was spotted at several shows.
As she prepares for the tour's conclusion in September, Grande will be taking a much-needed break from the limelight to rest and recharge following years of public scrutiny, according to her representative. When asked about her plans for the break, another source told Page Six that Ariana intends to spend time with Alvarez, along with her family and friends.
Grande and Alvarez first met in 2014 when he became her backup dancer, and later joined her on the 2015 Honeymoon Tour. Their rekindled relationship marks a new chapter for Ariana as she navigates the end of her tour and takes a well-deserved break from the spotlight. Fans eagerly await updates on both her personal and professional life, with hopes that the "7 Rings" singer will continue to deliver her signature blend of pop perfection in the coming months.
