Ewan McGregor Laughs Off Fatherhood Jokes on Jimmy Kimmel Live!

In a playful and humorous turn of events during Monday's episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Ewan McGregor found himself at the center of a lighthearted jibe about his family life. When the 55-year-old actor confirmed that he is the father of five children, guest host Anthony Anderson cheekily asked, "Are you Mormon?" The question left McGregor's co-star Anne Hathaway in fits of laughter as he responded, "No." Anderson then turned to the audience and quipped, "He was like, 'No, I just have a high libido.'" Hathaway, 43, joined in the laughter, wiping tears from her eyes before adding, "Who doesn't?" Later in the interview, Anderson playfully teased McGregor about his "brood" of children. The Star Wars icon, known for his four kids – Clara, Jamyan, Esther, and Anouk, with ex-wife Eve Mavrakis, as well as son Laurie with wife Mary Elizabeth Winstead – took it all in good humor. McGregor and Mavrakis, 60, separated in May 2017, shortly after photos surfaced of McGregor and Winstead, 41, sharing a kiss. The couple officially divorced in 2020. McGregor and Winstead welcomed their son in June 2021 and tied the knot the following April. In 2019, McGregor's eldest child, Clara, expressed her disapproval of her father's romance on Instagram, later admitting it wasn't her finest moment. The Times reported that Clara felt strongly about the situation, explaining, "There had been a lot building up to it and a lot to deal with...It’s very weird."
