Former Florida Officer Evades Jail Time in Stalking Case Involving Actress from Vince Vaughn's TV Show

In a surprising turn of events, the ex-Florida police officer accused of stalking an actress he met on the set of Vince Vaughn's Apple TV show "Bad Monkey" has managed to avoid jail time. Sources close to the case confirm that Lamar Eliseo Roman, who was dismissed from the Monroe Police Department, will instead be participating in a pre-trial intervention program. Court documents obtained exclusively by our magazine reveal that Roman, charged with three felonies related to unlawful computer use, has agreed to a deal with prosecutors. To maintain his freedom for the next two years, he must adhere to specific conditions, including paying a $1,700 fine, completing 100 hours of community service, and undergoing further therapy sessions. Roman's agreement requires him to report monthly to a probation officer, pay a $50 fee each month, and abstain from excessive intoxicant use during his supervision. Moreover, he is forbidden from having any contact with the actress he was accused of tracking. Once Roman fulfills the terms of his agreement, prosecutors have agreed to drop all charges against him. The controversy began when Roman allegedly used sheriff's office databases to obtain personal information about the actress, which he then used to track her down and attempt to initiate a romantic connection. Reports indicate that he added her car details to the database, causing alerts whenever she passed certain checkpoints. The officer reportedly pulled her over during one such encounter, stating, "I told you I'd find you and pull you over," and adding, "I was hoping your boyfriend was in the car so I can pull him out and give him a hard time." This high-profile case has raised questions about the appropriate use of law enforcement resources and the boundaries between professional and personal interactions within the entertainment industry. Stay tuned as we continue to follow this intriguing story.
