Remarkable Life of LDS Influencer Chandler David Hendry Cut Short at 27

In a heartbreaking turn of events, beloved Mormon influencer Chandler David Hendry passed away on August 7, following a three-vehicle car crash in Utah. According to authorities from the Lehi City Police Department, as reported by The Salt Lake Tribune, Hendry was traveling westbound when his vehicle collided with two others at the intersection of Timpanogos Highway and Morning Vista Road. Tragically, he did not survive the accident, which occurred on Friday. Officials stated that Chandler was not wearing a seatbelt during the incident, but fortunately, no other serious injuries were reported. With nearly 13,000 subscribers on YouTube, Chandler's "Restored Truth" podcast captured the hearts of many with its scripture-centered and Christ-focused approach. Upon hearing the sad news, fellow influencers and Latter-day Saints supporters expressed their condolences and shared heartfelt tributes to Chandler. Internet personality Shaun McKnight wrote via his social media platform: "Chandler 'Chuck' Hendry (@RestoredTruth8) was a little brother I had never actually met, but always looked up to... I will fast and pray for the whole Hendry family." Pastor Jeff McCollough, host of the Hello Saints YouTube channel, echoed similar sentiments in his tribute: "Chandler was an influential, up-and-coming voice in the LDS apologetics space... Though we may have disagreed on beliefs, he remained a fellow image-bearer and a beloved son, brother, husband, and friend to many. Praying for God's mercy and presence in these challenging times." A touching candlelight vigil was held in Utah on Monday, August 10, in honor of Chandler's life, and a GoFundMe campaign was launched to support his wife, AnaLynn, and parents during this difficult time. The fundraiser aims to collect $80,000, with over $73,000 raised as of Tuesday, August 11. The heartfelt description on the GoFundMe page reads: "Chandler touched so many lives through his social media platforms, but beyond that, he was known for being an extraordinary sibling, uncle, and friend. He helped countless individuals better understand the teachings of the gospel and feel loved by their Heavenly Father. His absence is profoundly felt by family, friends, and those whose lives were uplifted by his words and actions." In these difficult moments, our thoughts are with Chandler's loved ones as they remember and celebrate his remarkable life.
