Steve Keim Speaks Out on Alleged Scam Artist Connection - "I'm a Victim, Not a Perpetrator"

In the wake of Mohamed Coulibaly's tragic death earlier this month, former Arizona Cardinals general manager Steve Keim has come forward to clear his name amidst allegations of involvement in an elaborate investment scam. Keim, who was once listed as the chief operation and growth officer for Coulibaly's Motion Ventures, insists he is a victim, not a perpetrator. The details surrounding Coulibaly's death remain under investigation, but his name has been linked to numerous allegations of targeting former NFL players for investments in bogus e-commerce businesses. Coulibaly had previously denied these claims, but the Motion Ventures was accused of manipulating sales data to create an illusion of success. Keim admits to working with Coulibaly, but emphasizes that he did so without receiving a salary and under the belief that the business was legitimate. Keim allegedly introduced the investment opportunity to friends and family, including Seattle Seahawks general manager John Schneider, unknowingly putting them at risk of losing significant amounts of money, as reportedly happened with Keim himself, who claims to have lost over a million dollars from his own investments. Keim maintains that he had concerns about the business prior to Coulibaly's death and has since apologized to investors. Other NFL names, including Jalen Carter, Nakobe Dean, Tae Crowder, Matt Breida, Terrell Edmunds, and Schneider, have also reportedly been impacted by the alleged scam. In addition to dealing with this recent controversy, Keim is also facing allegations of PED test manipulation, as former Cardinals receiver DeAndre Hopkins accused him in a now-deleted post of setting up a test that led to a $5.2 million salary loss for Hopkins. Keim has since retained legal representation, according to Arizona Sports, and is currently navigating both these allegations and the ongoing investigation into Coulibaly's death.
