In an exclusive interview during the premiere of his latest film, "The End of Oak Street," McGregor sent a galactic call to Disney, urging them to let him continue his journey with the Star Wars franchise. "I'm raring to go whenever they are," McGregor shared, expressing his readiness to don the iconic robe once more.
"It seems like they aren't quite ready yet, but I'm here and eager. After all, we left Obi-Wan in the desert, ready to pass on the mantle to young Luke Skywalker," he reminisced. McGregor first graced our screens as Obi-Wan Kenobi in 1999's "Star Wars: The Phantom Menace." Despite the mixed reactions towards the film, McGregor's performance was universally praised, earning him a place in fans' hearts.
He reprised his role in "Attack of the Clones" and "Revenge of the Sith," becoming an integral part of the prequel trilogy. Fast-forward to 2022, McGregor returned as Obi-Wan Kenobi in the Disney+ series, "Obi-Wan Kenobi." Although billed as a limited series, McGregor's enthusiasm for further adventures remains undiminished. "I truly hope we get to do more," he told British GQ last year before the finale aired.
