In a heartbreaking turn of events, Christy Knowings, a beloved cast member on Nickelodeon's iconic sketch comedy show "All That," passed away on Tuesday at the age of 46. According to reports from TMZ, Knowings suffered an asthma attack that resulted in irreversible brain damage. She was hospitalized last Friday and placed on life support in Los Angeles before her family made the difficult decision to remove her from it on Tuesday night.

Her aunt, Tyleah Joseph, confirmed the news on Facebook. In a heartfelt statement to Variety, her manager Al Hill described Knowings as a "multi-talented lady," praising her for her ability to sing, act, and dance with equal grace. He also highlighted her professionalism and dedication to her work. Knowings was a mainstay on "All That" for three seasons from 1997 to 2001, and she returned as a guest star in Season 10.

She joined the show alongside Leon Frierson and Danny Tamborelli in Season 4, following their discovery on the pilot for Rosie O'Donnell's sketch show "And Now This." Over the years, she shared the screen with other notable stars like Amanda Bynes, Kenan Thompson, Kel Mitchell, Lori Beth Denberg, and Josh Server. During her time on the show, the cast grew to include comedians such as Nick Cannon and Gabriel Iglesias.

Away from "All That," Knowings also made appearances on three episodes of "Sesame Street" alongside her twin brother, Chris, who was a fellow member of Nickelodeon shows like "Taina" and "The Nick Cannon Show." After her stint on "All That," she took a step back from Hollywood but released a folk music single titled "To the World" in 2020.
