Panorama Studios Invests Big in Mobile-First Indian Streaming Platform Rocket Reels

In a bold move that signals a major shift in the Indian entertainment landscape, powerhouse production house Panorama Studios - known for hit films like 'Drishyam,' 'Omkara,' and 'Pyaar Ka Punchnama' - has announced its investment in Rocket Reels, a trailblazing vertical streaming platform. This strategic partnership is set to propel Rocket Reels into its next phase of growth and global expansion.

At the helm of Panorama Studios are veteran producer Kumar Mangat Pathak and filmmaker Abhishek Pathak, who's directed 'Drishyam 2' and is currently working on 'Drishyam 3.' The studio's illustrious slate includes critically acclaimed films such as 'Special 26,' 'Raid,' and the popular 'Drishyam' franchise, earning over 50 awards. This significant investment is expected to amplify Rocket Reels' content offerings, bolster its technological infrastructure, and expedite the production of new original series.

The deal comes at a time when vertical storytelling is gaining momentum as one of digital entertainment's most dynamic formats. Founded by Kranti Shanbhag, Rocket Reels pioneered India's vertical streaming category with a diverse library encompassing genres like thrillers, romance, crime, mystery, sci-fi, horror, and comedy. The platform caters specifically to mobile viewers, delivering emotionally charged episodes in easily consumable bite-sized segments.

Catering to six Indian languages - Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Bengali, and Gujarati - Rocket Reels has also expanded its reach beyond India, now available in ten countries including the U.S., U.K., Canada, Australia, U.A.E., Singapore, Malaysia, Bangladesh, Nepal, and South Africa. Kumar Mangat Pathak, chairman of Panorama Studios, stated, "At Panorama Studios, we've always believed that compelling stories will resonate universally, regardless of format.

Rocket Reels has established a robust platform that understands the evolving viewing habits of today's digital-first consumers while maintaining a focus on high-quality storytelling." Abhishek Pathak, managing director of Panorama Studios, commented on the shifting viewing habits and the rise of vertical storytelling as a major format for mobile consumers. "Rocket Reels has created an innovative platform that combines compelling narratives with a clear vision for the future.

We are thrilled to partner with them as they redefine short-form entertainment and expand their reach across India and global markets," he added. Kranti Shanbhag, founder of Rocket Reels, expressed his satisfaction with Panorama Studios' investment, calling it a validation of their vision. "Their belief in our journey gives us the confidence and resources to create even more original, high-quality stories while expanding our reach across India and international markets," he concluded.

This partnership promises an exciting new chapter for both Panorama Studios and Rocket Reels as they join forces to revolutionize Indian digital entertainment.
