In a stunning display of popularity, the highly-anticipated return of Jason Sudeikis' hit series 'Ted Lasso' took center stage last week on Apple TV. The season premiere broke records, garnering an astounding 296.6 million minutes watched over just two days - a title previously unclaimed by any other Apple TV production to date. This extraordinary accomplishment surpasses not only the previous seasons of 'Ted Lasso' but also popular series such as "Severance" and "Pluribus".

The phenomenal viewership figures were recorded by Nielsen, who also reported that on August 5 alone, 'Ted Lasso' Season 4 was America's most-streamed program with over 200 million minutes watched. Adding to the impressive tally, the season opener boasted an estimated viewership of 7.1 million, calculated by dividing the total streamed time by the episode's 42-minute runtime.

Set three years after Season 3, the new season finds Coach Ted Lasso back at Richmond as he takes on his toughest challenge yet: coaching a second-division women's football team. Throughout the series, Ted and his team will venture into uncharted territory, taking risks they never thought possible. The ensemble cast includes returning stars Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, Brendan Hunt, and Jeremy Swift, alongside new additions Tanya Reynolds, Jude Mack, Faye Marsay, Rex Hayes, Aisling Sharkey, Abbie Hern, and Grant Feely.
