Liz McGraw Thriving After 'RHORI' Exit, Says Co-Star Alicia Carmody: "I Definitely Miss Her"

In an exclusive interview with Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea,” Alicia Carmody opened up about her longtime friend and fellow "The Real Housewives of Rhode Island" (RHORI) co-star, Liz McGraw. McGraw shocked fans when she announced her departure from the reality series after just one season, and Carmody couldn't be happier for her former castmate. "Liz is thriving," said the 41-year-old entrepreneur while promoting her partnership with Ziploc’s Lunch Confessions campaign. "It's a lot to put your family out there on television, and I'm sure she took some heat online." Carmody echoed executive producer Andy Cohen's sentiments that the door remains open for McGraw to return should she choose to do so in the future. For now, Carmody, who is currently filming RHORI Season 2, said she's giving her friend "space" to focus on her family, work, and passions. Carmody and McGraw had a tumultuous relationship during the first season of RHORI, with their friendship put to the test when McGraw questioned Carmody's claims of being homeless as a child. While the two have known each other since McGraw was born, Carmody clarified that they were not as close as portrayed on the show. "No, we weren't like sisters," said Carmody. "But we've had a connection since I was born, and I always looked up to Liz." According to Carmody, she grew up best friends with McGraw's niece due to the close relationship between their mothers. "I feel like that wasn't talked about enough," said Carmody. "RHORI" Season 1 is currently streaming on Peacock. Fans are eagerly awaiting the premiere of Season 2, which promises to bring more drama and revelations from the cast.
