Mike Epps Expands Partnership with Independent Artist Group for Comprehensive Representation

Comedy powerhouse and actor Mike Epps has taken his long-standing relationship with Independent Artist Group (IAG) to the next level, signing on for full representation of his production company Indiana 1 Productions, as well as all other agency areas. This strategic move comes hot off the heels of Epps' highly successful "We Them One's Comedy Tour," which saw several arenas sold out from stem to stern. The wave of momentum didn't stop there; Epps' standup comedy special, "Delusional," premiered on Netflix in January and quickly led to the streaming giant green-lighting two more standup specials. With a career spanning over two decades, Epps has proven himself as a versatile entertainer, gracing our screens in iconic comedies such as the "Friday" franchise, "The Hangover," "Sparkle," "Girls Trip," and the critically acclaimed "Dolemite is My Name." Epps' most recent accolade came with his portrayal of Bennie "Pops" Upshaw in Netflix's hit sitcom, "The Upshaws." The show, which ended its seven-season run earlier this year, earned Epps the prestigious NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Actor in a Comedy Series. Additionally, "The Upshaws" garnered nominations at the Primetime Emmys and People's Choice Awards. Aside from his on-screen prowess, Epps has made waves as a producer through Indiana 1 Productions, focusing on developing original film, television, and comedy content. One of his notable productions includes Hulu's upcoming series "Good American Family," starring Ellen Pompeo. Epps' memoir, "Unsuccessful Thug," offering an intimate look into his upbringing and career, was published by HarperCollins in 2017. IAG has been a stalwart in managing Epps' live touring business, but with this new expansion, they will now be involved in film, television, comedy, literary, endorsements, and other entertainment projects. Jim Osborne, the CEO of IAG, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, "Mike has continually demonstrated his ability to adapt and thrive in the ever-changing landscape of entertainment. He's not just a comedian; he's an icon." Epps reaffirmed his commitment to this collaboration, saying, "I'm thrilled about what lies ahead with IAG and am eager to build upon our successful partnership as we venture into new territories together." Epps continues to work alongside producing partner Niles Kirchner and Todd Rubenstein of Yorn, Levine, Barnes. With a career that shows no signs of slowing down, it's clear that Mike Epps is poised for even greater heights in the world of entertainment.
