Amy Sedaris Steps into the Slammer with Ben Stiller and Benicio Del Toro in Apple TV's Prison Comedy 'Protective Custody'

Amy Sedaris is the newest cast member to join forces with comedy heavyweights Ben Stiller and Benicio Del Toro in Apple TV's upcoming prison comedy series, "Protective Custody." In this high-stakes, hilarious journey, Sedaris will be seen alongside Stiller as a disgraced financier accused of massive fraud who finds himself entangled in the cutthroat world of prison politics.
As he navigates his way through the system and grapples with the repercussions of his actions while awaiting trial, Sedaris' character promises to add a much-needed dose of comedic relief. Details about her character are still under wraps, but it's safe to say that fans of Sedaris' quirky and offbeat humor can expect another unforgettable performance from the comedian.
With a career spanning both TV and film, Sedaris has established herself as a beloved figure in the entertainment industry. She first captured hearts with her starring role in the cult hit comedy "Strangers with Candy," which she co-created. Since then, she has graced our screens with numerous memorable performances on shows like "At Home with Amy Sedaris" and "BoJack Horseman." Her film credits include blockbusters such as "Jennifer's Body," "Puss in Boots," and the timeless holiday classic, "Elf." Sedaris has also built a strong rapport with director Jon Favreau, collaborating on his films "Chef" and the live-action "Lion King," as well as in his "Star Wars" shows "The Mandalorian" and "The Book of Boba Fett." Next up, she will appear in Favreau's Oswald the Lucky Rabbit series on Disney+.
Mike Judge (creator of "Beavis and Butt-Head" and co-writer of "Office Space") is teaming up with Steve Hely and Dave King to pen "Protective Custody." The trio will also serve as executive producers and co-showrunners, with Judge set to direct. Stiller will executive produce alongside his production company, Red Hour, while John Lesher of Red Hour will also executive produce.
Ben Silverman, Howard Owens, and Rodney Ferrell of Propagate Content are also on board as executive producers, along with Michael Rotenberg and Oly Obst from 3 Arts Entertainment. Nanette Burstein is also set to executive produce. Apple Studios will produce the series. Prepare for a wild ride into the world of high finance and hard time when "Protective Custody" debuts on Apple TV.
