Diddy Out of Solitary and Back on Track Towards Freedom

After a brief stint in solitary confinement, music mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs has emerged victorious following a prison altercation at New Jersey's Fort Dix Federal Correctional Institution. According to reports by TMZ, the 56-year-old entertainment titan found himself in hot water after an incident with another inmate last month. The details are scarce, but it seems Combs took matters into his own hands following a perceived slight, leading to a physical altercation between the two parties.

Prison staff quickly intervened and successfully separated the pair before any serious harm was done. Despite the skirmish, the Federal Bureau of Prisons has confirmed that Combs' release date remains unchanged – set for January 24, 2028. Previously, the altercation had caused a delay in his release, moving it back from its original February 23, 2028 date. Combs is currently serving a four-year sentence at the New Jersey prison for prostitution-related charges, but this isn't the first time his release date has been altered.

His initial May 8, 2028, release date was pushed back to June 4, 2028 in November 2025 after he allegedly violated multiple prison rules. These infractions included consuming homemade alcohol and participating in a three-way phone call – both of which are strictly forbidden within the prison system. In July 2025, Combs was found guilty of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution, with a potential sentence of 20 years behind bars.

However, he was acquitted of more serious sex trafficking and racketeering charges, which could have landed him life in prison. His sentencing, handed down in October 2025, also included a $500,000 fine and mandatory participation in programs aimed at addressing his mental health and substance abuse issues. Combs filed an appeal of his sentence back in December, but for now, he continues to serve his time and work towards his eventual freedom.
