Madelyn Cline Unveils Bizarre Encounter with Spanish Police Mistaking Her for the Leader of a 'Sex Ring'

In an intriguing turn of events, actress Madelyn Cline, 28, recently shared a tale from her time filming in Spain that had police believing she was the head of an illicit sex ring. During a candid conversation on Jake Shane's "Therapuss" podcast, she revealed, "You know, I've got a story about Spanish prostitutes - ever heard it? While I was in Spain for a movie shoot, the police kept showing up at my door like I was some sort of madam." Shane, 26, attempted to make sense of the situation and asked if they had mistaken her for a sex worker.

"No, no, they thought I was the leader," Cline clarified. When questioned about the number of girls residing with her, she humorously responded, "Just me." Cline then reminisced about chatting with Spanish actress Penélope Cruz, who had previously lived in the same neighborhood. The two are set to star together in the upcoming film Day Drinker, due for release in 2027.

"She asked me how I was enjoying Madrid...so, I told her I loved it but had to vacate my apartment because the police kept visiting, and I felt really scared," Cline shared, explaining that the police would take her passport and information, causing her unease. Cruz, 52, then revealed that it was her "first apartment building" and her "old neighbor" had contacted her, saying, "They attract some local crime ring in Salamanca." Cline added, "Apparently, they traced it back to the building, and they were coming straight to my apartment.

I found out later that it was some sort of sex ring. They thought I was the ringmaster. They thought I was the fearless leader." Cline joked, "I wasn't. I was their frightened leader. I wish they had let me know because I would have been braver about it." During the podcast, Shane expressed his admiration for his friendship with Cline. "Sometimes I feel like you and I are two brain cells," he said, to which Cline gleefully replied, "We are!

Fighting over being the third." Shane and Cline have been friends for several years, having first met at an airport while waiting for luggage three years ago. In April, they spent time together at Coachella.
