The Shocking Sneaker Ban for Female Employees at Howard Stern Show's Office Unveiled

In a surprising revelation, it appears that female employees working for the iconic Howard Stern Show are facing a sneaker ban in the office. According to reports by The US Sun, the rule is strikingly different from the footwear freedom enjoyed by their male counterparts. The NYC-based SiriusXM office houses the team behind one of radio's most popular shows, but it seems that there are hidden wardrobe rules at play.

As per an anonymous insider, women are restricted from donning sneakers at work while men can wear whatever they please. "There is this rule that it doesn’t matter what kind of footwear men wore, but the women are not allowed to wear sneakers at work," the source explained. They added that female employees keep non-sneaker options handy, ready for surprise visits from higher-ups in the office.

The source further claimed that despite the shift in times due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the move to Zoom calls, the footwear rule remains unchanged. "Times have changed, but it seems like there's still a different set of rules for men and women," the insider said, calling the policy "insane." The US Sun also referenced a 2013 video featuring Howard Stern himself criticizing his team's appearances in front of clients and talent.

The radio legend urged employees to step up their style, particularly on interview days, to create a more professional image. However, the show's management allegedly expects more than just suit-and-tie attire; they reportedly discourage "shlubby" dresses and homeless looks from employees. Moreover, it is claimed that employees are forbidden from speaking to Stern at work events, risking termination if they break this rule.

Representatives for The Howard Stern Show were unavailable for comment when approached by Page Six. Despite the controversy surrounding the footwear policy, the show remains one of radio's most listened-to programs, with millions tuning in each week to hear Howard Stern and his team's engaging conversations with celebrities from around the world.
