Diddy Strikes Back Against Accuser: Sues Former Videographer for Alleged Breach of Trust and Theft of Confidential Footage

In an unexpected turn of events, music mogul Sean 'Diddy' Combs has filed a countersuit against Rodney Jones, a former videographer who had previously accused him of sexual assault. The new lawsuit alleges that Jones stole valuable footage from Diddy, intended for use in a documentary about the star's life, and sold it to Netflix without his permission. According to the court documents, Diddy claims that Jones, who was one of several videographers accompanying him and his family during a vacation in St.
Barts in December 2022, abused his position of trust by stealing computer drives containing exclusive footage. The documents further state that Jones then sold this footage to Netflix and 50 Cent for use in a competing Diddy documentary. The lawsuit alleges that Jones' actions were not only a breach of trust but also an intentional attempt to profit from the stolen goods.
Diddy also claims that the footage was used in Netflix's documentary "Sean Combs: The Reckoning," which featured Jones repeating his baseless accusations against the star. The countersuit alleges that Jones' initial sexual assault lawsuit, filed in 2024, was nothing more than an attempt to extort additional money from Diddy under the guise of "producer services" after he had already been compensated.
Jones had previously accused Diddy of groping his genitals and touching his anus, as well as parading around naked in front of him. Jones also leveled similar accusations against Diddy's son Justin Combs, Cuba Gooding Jr., and Stevie J, all of whom vehemently denied the allegations. We have reached out to Rodney Jones for comment but have yet to hear back. This story is still developing and we will update you as more information becomes available.
