WNBA Stands Firm Against Controversial Transgender Debate as Enes Kanter Freedom and Royce White Seek Entry

Royce White explained that he identifies "as sometimes identifying as a woman for purposes of professional basketball," while Enes declared he initiated his transition on Tuesday, sharing a photo of himself training at the gym.

In response, WNBA commissioner Cathy Engelbert addressed the topic of transgender athlete participation, vowing that the league will approach this matter with thoughtfulness, respect, and alignment with its longstanding values.
